Multicolour

Multicolour was our major fundraising project in April 2019. Some of the most significant names in contemporary art created brand new works using pencils and crayons we salvaged from the Calais Jungle refugee camp, which were then exhibited and sold to raise money for our casue. The sale raised a total of £121,000 for our cause, and received widespread mainstream media attention.

Artists

We have previously worked with some of the biggest names in contemporary art, including:

ANISH KAPOOR, ANNIE KEVANS, ANNIE MORRIS, ANTONY GORMLEY, CONOR HARRINGTON, CONRAD SHAWCROSS, CHANTAL JOFFE, EDMUND DE WAAL, GARY HUME, IDRIS KHAN, JEREMY DELLER, JONATHAN YEO, JULIAN OPIE, KEITH COVENTRY, KEVIN FRANCIS GRAY, MARK WALLINGER, MAGGI HAMBLING, NARI WARD, PEJAC, PAOLA PIVI, RACHEL WHITEREAD, RAQIB SHAW, RICHARD DEACON, RICHARD WOODS, ROBERT MONTGOMERY, RON ARAD, SARA SHAMMA, SEAN SCULLY, SWOON, THE CONNOR BROTHERS, ZHANG HUAN.

How we work

1. Artists donate artworks to us

2. We sell these artworks at auction or to our network of private clients

3. We send 90% of profits to our charity partners to help fund their integral work, and put 10% towards our future projects

Migrate was born in 2016 from a desire to help those affected by the global migrant crisis using our combined 20+ years experience working in the contemporary art world.

Since then we have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds to help individuals and communities who have been displaced by war.

In an industry full of red tape and bureaucracy, we aim to keep things simple- raise money and donate it to groups who can use it most effectively and help those most in need.

Migrate has three key charity partners, whose work we believe in fully. They are Refugee Community Kitchen,

Refu-Aid, The Lotus Flower.

We have partnered up with ethical clothing brand CMMNTY to launch Migrate Clothing, which gives you the opportunity to own t-shirts designed by the world's best artists while supporting our cause.

Our first release is in collaboration with legendary artist Ralph Steadman...

Who we support

We focus on fundraising to financially support organisations that have a greater expertise and knowledge of 'on the ground' requirements. By focusing on our strengths to raise funds, we are able to help them focus on their strengths and carry out the integral work that is needed. These organisations are:

Refu-Aid

The Lotus Flower

Refugee Community Kitchen

Whether or not today’s refugees are fleeing from political or economical trouble, I identify with, and have great empathy for the sense of displacement they must feel. The only way I can express my true feelings is through my art - as a means of release and escapism - so I am happy to be contributing to the Migrate project in aid of this worthwhile cause

- Richard Deacon, CBE

"Migrate is bringing light to the ongoing struggles faced by the most vulnerable in our world in the most thought-provoking and impactful way. We know it will widen awareness and funds raised are vital in helping us to increase our impact.”

- Anna Jones, RefuAid

“At Pelham we are always excited about arts projects with meaning, so when we were introduced to Migrate’s Multicolour project we were greatly enthusiastic about its charitable aims. Our working relationship with Migrate has been very positive. We are very proud of the work we achieved together.”

- Pelham Communications

“The Migrate Art auction is a very creative approach enabling people to help with a desperate worldwide problem”

- Rachel Whiteread, DBE
